Welcome To Renville Minnesota

City of Renville is located 100 miles west of the Twin Cities on U.S. HWY 212 and situated near the Minnesota River Valley in a fertile agricultural area known for its high productivity. Renville's economy, past and present, is based largely upon agribusiness. Renville serves as an agricultural service and distribution center for the surrounding area, and the city boasts the world's largest sugar beet processing plant as well as other thriving industrial operations. The community offers affordable housing and employment opportunities.
The City of Renville is also home to the Renville County West Jaguars. Our K-12 school children come from Sacred Heart, Danube as well as Renville and our school pride themselves on providing our students with a quality education, today, tomorrow and beyond. Our 7th - 12th grade students pride themselves on sending out a message to the community that "MOST RCW students don't drink and drive and don't ride with someone who has been drinking alcohol." Working closely with Renville Alliance for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drugs (RAPAD) has brought a positive influence to our students and community. On February 27, 2012, Renville passed a Social.Host.Ordinance.

As of the 2010 census there were 1,287 people residing in Renville. The City has three beautiful parks, a swimming pool, tennis court, outdoor ice skating rink, several churches, a library, and a beautiful senior living community run by St. Francis Health Services. Come visit our wonderful city, you'll be glad you did! Don't have time to come out and see us today, then feel free to browse our site and learn about the history of Renville and how we got our name. Don't forget to check out our events calendar, things are always happening in Renville.
We can begin by doing small things at the local level, like planting community gardens or looking out for our neighbors. That is how change takes place in living systems, not from above but from within, from many local actions occurring simultaneously.
